Sightings at Kings Pool Camp in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in Botswana in October 2013

Kings Pool Camp is famed not just for the sights, but also the sounds of wildlife all around. For this reason the camp has two hides. One is located at the western end of the camp where one can spend one's entire siesta time watching game come down to drink. The other is an original underground hide, with the water at eye-level. Seeing massive elephant feet and trunks almost within touching distance while safely inside is an extraordinary experience. #Safari #Africa #Botswana…

Kings Pool offers stylish tented accommodation and exceptional game viewing in the game-rich Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.

Kings Pool Camp - During 2008, the Savute Channel flowed once more, creating a water source that rapidly filled with aquatic life, wide varieties of waterbirds and hippo. With two-thirds of the channel located within the Linyanti Concession, Kings Pool Camp guests have private and exclusive access to its abundant game. #Safari #Africa #Botswana #WildernessSafaris

High drama as a crocodile takes a male lion crossing the Linyanti from Botswana to Namibia. The videographer (a guest at Kings Pool Camp) confirms that the younger male, which swam back to the Botswana side after the attack, found a lioness and was mating with her by the time the older lion swam back later that afternoon to rejoin his brother. He did not challenge his brother for the lioness.

We were at Wilderness Safaris' King's Pool camp in Botswana, with our amazing guide ND tracking two young male lions we had seen in the area the day before. We found them by the Linyanti river between Botswana and Namibia, and watched them drinking.
