Muizenberg beach( mountain of mice) was a very popular resort in those early years. These days it seemed to have lost its glamour to the Atlantic seaboard of Clifton and Camps Bay.

Trams in Adderley Street, Cape Town
Single and double-decker trams make their way in front of the old Cape Town tram station in Adderley Street in this in this photograph, in which horse-drawn carriages can also be seen.The collonaded building at center left, The Standard Bank, is on the corner of Darling Street and is still a landmark in the city centre.
Killarney Race Track
Situated on the Blouberg side of the city, is the Killarney Race Track where many famous racing drivers has competed. This shot was taken at the Cape Grand Prix on the 2nd. January 1962. In car no. 5 is Jo Bonnier in his Porsche with Trevor Taylor in a Lotus next to him, and in car no.1 is another Lotus with the famous Jim Clark behind the weel. (Photo via Marius Matthee)
