Detail from a larger fluid art canvas, using a flip cup & a dirty pour on the same canvas. I love how the cells have come out on this, and was very pleased that the contrast of the orange & blue didn't mix to create a muddy color Fluid Art, acrylic abstract paint on canvas
Detail from a larger abstract canvas of pouring acrylic. Beautiful cells using cyan, turquoise, cherry pink, black and yellow acrylic paint. Pouring medium- flotrol, wood glue & water with silicone added
Fluid Art. I love the finish of this pouring acrylic canvas. I had some left-over paints from other canvases that I had been pouring & decided to do a flip-cup & a dirty pour. Was surprised at how well the cells worked in the orange section of the painting, as some of the paints had been mixed for quite a while. 1 of my favorite paintings and I have chosen not to seal it with a varnish 600x600mm
textured background with gesso, tissue paper, foil and embossed aluminium sheet. Dry brushed over with acrylic paint
Mixed Media Tray I loved this range of Scrapping Paper and instead of doing the normal decoupage, I wanted to elevate it to another level, so used clear glass tiles, which I used to mosaic over then grouted.
Fairy frames I had a bunch of old frames saved up & came across rub-on transfers, so I sanded down the frames and created these mixed media frames by using different ceramic & wooden elements that I had
Mixed media Mosaic Lady This has to be one of my all-time favourite pieces! She is painted in acrylics, onto a wooden board, & I have used a combination of clear glass tiles and colored mosaic tiles.
Stained glass fairy I love working with colored glass & these lead torsos were ideal for making into fairies
Ceramic houses. I have a passion for houses & am still wanting to do a class using them in various ways. At this time I was going through a ceramics phase & had loads of fun making these crooked houses. I like the unglazed finish, which gives it a muted 'earthy' finish
Decoupage Tea Tray I am so often inspired by papers and so when I saw this paper, with these quotes on, I knew that I had to utilise it somehow & I didn't want to lose the essence of the paper. I have painted a wooden tray, decoupaged the paper on & covered it with a clear epoxy resin
Mosaic mirror, mixed media I absolutely love this mirror! I love the idea of the fairy garden and using a variety of different elements. The fairy I drew onto colored glass & cut out using a scorer. I then nipped the glass to shape. The grass I painted onto the board with acrylic paint and then cut clear glass. The frogs I made from clay, glazed and fired in a kiln and the toadstool is Fimo clay. The rest of the elements are glass pebbles and different mosaic tiles
