Blissfully Sweet - Modern Boho 1st Birthday Cake I loved working on this cake knowing that the party would be seriously jaw dropping. Indeed it was, even more so. Beautiful! I made this cake for the lovely Joanne of Cakes by Joanne Charmand for her daughter's 1st birthday. Joanne was also creating some cakes of her own, but wanted a centrepiece cake as well as cupcakes to match her beautiful theme. So the design that we finalised is this and it couldn't have been more perfect for the occasion! Modern yet romantic. Rosette ruffles mixed with watercolour and golden ribbons, accented with a stunning sugar flower wreath and a piped golden dream catcher. Every single element worked together and tied back to the one theme. Piped dots in an arrow and aztec style design, rosette ruffles to emulate dream catchers and the flower wreath all were the boho inspiration. I created a little BTS video of the watercolour tier and how that was created. I will share that video tonight. The venue was the Breakfast Point Community Hall and styled by the one and only Mary from Scribble and Style and the florals were breathtaking. I cannot wait to see all the images of this party.
