The narcissist will never accept you or truly love you. I know it is hard to believe because they seemed to love you and accept you at the beginning, and may have ever-diminishing moments of seeming to "love" you now. It wasn't you, but things they wanted or needed from you. Seeking to have your human needs met in relationship with a narcissist, and seeking reciprocity, is a lost cause. They are not only unwilling, they are simply not capable.
