Choc dome and peanut butter ice cream
This dessert is sure to impress, the filled chocolate dome and peanut butter ice cream is a delicious combination, not mention serving with crumbed and cubes of honey comb.. The recipe makes enough for 5 domes and a 1.5 liter tub of ice cream (so there is plenty of ice cream for seconds)
Easy Chocolate mousse
Got this recipe from a friend and absolutely love it. It is so easy and tasty! I have literally already made it three times in the last few weeks I was enlightened about it and it is so delicious and quick. The perfect dessert to satisfy the dinner table guests and as it is made the day before (to set in the fridge). Shout out to Salmaan for this epic recipe which is a total crowd pleaser. I now I have a go-to quick dessert up my sleeve for any occasion. Chocolate dessert mousse easy quick
Raspberry ice cream
A fresh summer ice cream pairs perfectly after a lekker braai! You can serve this ice cream with fresh fruit, with chocolate sauce or with my chocolate hazelnut tartlet recipe (scroll up to see my previous post). You don't need an ice cream machine, just a hand blender or Kitchen machine Check the recipe below
Chocolate hazelnut tartlets
Decadent dessert at its best. Rich chocolate ganache filling with hazelnuts. Reasons I love this dessert, tirstly, its super easy. Secondly this dessert sets in the fridge, which means you can make them in advance. Thirdly, using a Bakers Tennis Biscuit base means less hassle and no baking... you don't need the oven at all. A total score. See recipe below
Choc cups filled with mousse
These chocolate cookie cups are so versatile as they can be filled with an endless variety of fillings and they specifically make presenting and serving chocolate mousse sophisticated and interesting, not to mention delicious. I made the cups in a standard cupcake tin and the recipe below makes 12 cups Cookie Chocolate Dessert Sweet tooth Mousse
Peanut butter and chocolate mousse
Why wouldn't you?! Chocolate and peanut butter is a match made in heaven and mousse the fluffy cloud they meet on! I love the combination and hence experimented with how I have made mousse before and incorporated peanut butter to create this amazing dessert. Peppermint crisp tart
This traditional South African dessert recipe is from my best friend! I have tweaked the original recipe to incorporate two types of mint chocolate. YUM! This fridge tart is a favorite of many and super easy to make. Another benefit of this fridge tart is that it can be made in advance and left to chill in the fridge until serving. Mixed nut ice cream (no churn)
This vanillla ice cream is so easy and simple and the mixed nuts level it up to fancy in no time. This recipe is especially for those that dont have an ice cream and it can be made using a blender or electric hand beater. Blend and freeze! So simple. See recipe link below
What is that? Well it is a choc chip cookie in a pizza form made in a cast iron pan (so the bottom crisps up as it would a pizza base), then filled with Nutella (when can that ever be a bad idea) and baked to perfection. This is for the sweetest teeth out there and best served with plain vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Chocolate Malva pudding
This is a chocolate twist on my all time favorite South African dessert. Malva pudding is traditionally similar to a sticky toffee dessert but just better! The chocolate version has the same sticky warm features but includes chocolate in the cake base and in the sauce... delicious !!
Craving a Cinnabon tray during lock down?!... Me too and I have a quick cheat to almost recreate the tray as well as the original developers. The reason why this recipe is a cheat is because I used store bought puff pastry instead of making the dough from scratch! Everyone can do with a cheat recipe and save some time every now and then... your welcome.
Easy recipe with all pantry items to make it easy to do during lockdown... one thing to know is patience is key in this recipe as you will be whisking over the stove for about 15 minutes. It also sets in the fridge so make sure you plan to do this when you have time... but it is so sweet and so worth it
Home-made Peppermint crisp ice cream
No ice cream maker? No problem! This recipe doesn't require the machine, but a hand-held beater or blender is all you need. An easy recipe and a bit of patience, will result in a creamy tasty ice cream to have as a dessert alone, snack or served alongside chocolate volcanoes.
