Kilonova, uma das explosões mais aterrorizantes e poderosas do Universo.

Quando estrelas de nêutrons colidem, a explosão pode produzir até um bilhão de vezes a energia da luminosidade da Via Láctea. Poderia facilmente ofuscar galáxias monstruosas inteiras como a Andrômeda pelos cerca de 50 segundos em que ocorre. O evento ejeta matéria a 60.000 km por segundo ou 20% da velocidade da luz. Esse fogo de artifício cósmico é chamado de Kilonova.
