The TGA's response to wildlife issues in South Africa

The True Green Alliance
Important Perspective - Joint Statement on Captive Bred Lion Shooting by Ron Thomson To put this important newsletter into perspective: The TGA is not a hunting association of any kind. We do, however, support hunting as a management tool for the sustainable-use harvesting of South Africa’s renewable wild living resources. We do not consider wildlife to be a ‘sacred cow’, but a WILD ‘product of the land’ that equates to domesticated animals and cultivated crops being TAME (or DOMESTIC)… South Africa, Perspective, Cow, Hunting, Wildlife, Management, Animals, Products, Animales

It seems that in South Africa today, there are very few newspapers that are prepared to publish articles that contradict untrue statements made by the animal rightists; or that are prepared to publish statements that support hunting and the sustainable-use of our wildlife. The BEELD is another miscreant. This is a sorry indictment on the state of free speech in South Africa today. And it does not bode well for the future of our wildlife industry. Outside, in nature, there are no rules. That is why a cat can spend half an hour torturing a mouse to death in interesting ways, but it is not cruel - it is merely nature. A hyena can pull the innards out of a living impala while the poor creature stands shivering in agony until death releases it, but it is not immoral - it is merely nature. Nature doesn’t have rules. It doesn’t have “good” or “bad”, or “kind” or “cruel”. These are things of the human cave. Nature doesn’t work that way.
