1st Grade: Tropical Birds from North Cow Creek School
To make these bright and colorful birds, the 1st graders practiced the art of Eric Carle. A folded paper plate was used as the body and painted using the warm colors. Left over scraps of printed paper from previous art classes were used for the feathers, beak, and eye. Tissue paper was used to make the tail feathers. The background was sponge painted in shades of blue.
