Crewel chair with Louise Chrimes patterns stitched by Beatrice K Williams (Mrs. William R. Williams) over 50 years ago. Detailed photos courtesy of her granddaughters. Mrs. Williams was justifiably proud of her stitching and hence extremely angry with the \cleaners\ who stained the back of the chair. Her work is so lovely it doesn't matter. This is the same chair that appears in Mildred Davis' book The Art of Crewel Embroidery
