Over looking Dingane's krawl, is the site of the murder of Piet Retief and 100 other members of the boer team. (30 of which were servants) They were clubbed to death. Originally this memorial comemorated the deaths of the 70 boers, but later a plaque was added for the 30 servants who were also murdered.
