Thanks to Time Dilation, Earth’s Core is 2.5 Years Younger Than its Surface. Scientists have put a famous claim by physicist Richard Feynman to the test—that the general theory of relativity predicts the Earth's core has aged more slowly than its surface.
New idea tackles Earth core puzzle
Scientists have proposed a radical new model for the make-up of the Earth's core. The study may explain a longstanding puzzle about the most inaccessible part of our planet. It suggests that differences between the east and west hemispheres of the core are explained by the way iron atoms pack together. Click image for more info!
1) CRUST: Oceanic & Continental (about 3 to 50 miles thick), plus The Mohorovicic Discontinuity = (The Lithosphere: solid) 2) Mantle: a) The Upper Mantle, magma molten rock, b )The Lower Mantel (about 1,796 miles thick 2,000 degrees F) = Asthenosphere (Flows around the outerr core) 3) Outer Core - Molten Metal (11,000 degrees F) that flows around the inner core & is thought to cause Earth's magnetic field. 4) Inner Core - Hot solid mostly iron, with some nickel, (like meteorites), may spin.
