There's something magical about moths, so it's no wonder one arrived in my children's book Nomublelo and the Moth.
AN ART NOUVEAU ENAMEL, DIAMOND, SAPPHIRE AND RUBY BROOCH, ca. 1890. Designed as a butterfly, the wings mounted en tremblant, the body set with one oval sapphire and old-mine-cut diamonds. The wings decorated with plique-à-jour enamel in blue-green tones, and set with four sapphire cabochons. The wing borders partially set with rose-cut diamonds. Probably of French. #ArtNouveau #brooch
