Just to give you a different perspective. Remember South Africa is a third world country with first world qualities and people can argue that it is visa versa. These are some of the nicer houses in Johannesburg. Oh and the "twin towers" in the background as they like to call them. They are repurposed coal burning towers.
In South Africa there are these tin shack communities called informal settlements or Mkuhkuhs. In these communities, everyone looks after each other and makes sure they are healthy and safe. In this picture a boy was running around our group so one of the guys that was giving us a tour settled the kid down and and made sure he didn't wander off with us as we walked on through the Mkuhkuhs.
