Messerschmitt Me-323
The Messerschmitt Me 323 Gigant ("Giant") was a German military transport aircraft of World War II. It was a powered variant of the Me 321 military glider and was the largest land-based transport aircraft of the war. A total of 213 are recorded as having been made, a few being converted from the Me 321.
Messerschmitt Me 323 Gigant. Built as a glider made of tubular steel and wood the first 323 was towed by three Me-110s; a tricky operation. Arado Ar 232 - Wikipedia
Arado Ar 232 was a German World War 2 medium transport plane. It was the most advanced plane of its type and the first modern transport. Military transports still follow the principles set forth in this design, essentially a flying boxcar with high tail, rear ramp for loading and low clearance wheels. Only 25 were made but they were reliable and very well liked for their capabilities, including being able to move small vehicles and gasoline.
