It was a quote my mother said often. A reminder that I was her daughter. I was her first-born, her pride, her joy. Or so I thought. She left me. But not without her lessons. I am not a fool. Some people love the picture they have in their head of you. They're not willing to accept you for who you really are, and never will. They'll slowly suffocate you, it's not that they want to they're just not right for you.
