Can't believe that I haven't seen this fix before.  Had to repin for future reference. -- Fixing a stripped hole with a golf tee: 1. Put wood glue in the hole 2. Hammer golf tee into hole 3. Use box cutter to cut off excess tee 4. Drill pilot hole and screw new screw directly into the tee!

Gotta remember this- would work for any stripped screw hole- though I think I would put a little wood glue on the tee before inserting it. Golf tee fix for stripped holes - put in glue, hammer in golf tee, cut off excess, then add screw = fixed.
