I love to be the photographer. Dave and a group form other guest houses enjoyed an hour or so kayaking while I took in the awesome views of Walkerbay. The great thing about this trip, is it goes out all year weather permitting. In whale season i'm sure it's so much better, but even out of whale season it's lots of fun and very exciting when the dolphins come.
Walkerbay Sea Kayaking An absolute must for those that love the sea. From young teenagers to pensioners this trip seems to be a hit. Dave has done it several times. After a thorough briefing on kayaking techniques and safety you paddle from the historical Old Harbour and do a round trip. The direction dependant on winds, swells and paddling abilities. A knowledgeable guide is with you all the way in a small group. We often walk along the cliff path just to watch the kayaks and whales.
A winter's day in Hermanus - out on the ocean, kayaking.
A group from local business's were invited by Herman of Walkerbay Adventures to try their hand at sea kayaking. the morning was lots of fun, and although it was just out of whale season there were lots of other interesting things to sea like birds and seals.
Safety talk prepared the guys for the adventure on the water. A very well organised trip - very impressive. I'd never been to this nature reserve before. It's beautiful.and only about 25 minutes form our guest house.
