The diamond and emerald jewels of cereal heiress, Marjorie Merriweather Post: Ms. Post was pictured here with daughter, Dina Merrill. She was known as the "American Czarina" because of her vast wealth. She was a collector of rare jewels and art, a philanthropist and a feisty businesswoman. She made numerous donations of historical jewels to the Smithsonian Institute of America. She is the aunt of Barbara Hutton through Ms. Post's marriage to E. F.Hutton.
