I’m easily captivated by photography of dance, especially when it is vintage photgraphy, like these beautiful black and white embroidered photographs of ballerina’s. Chilean artist Jose Romussi takes vintage black & white photographs of ballerina and stitches upon the images colorful threadwork, adding a playful touch to the dancer’s frozen posture http://www.karenruimy.com/blog/2012/04/18/jose-romussi-photo-embroidery/

Artist Jose Ignacio Romussi Murphy adds embroidery to vintage images of ballerinas. I love the burst of vibrant colors and the energy that it adds to the photograph.
