#stanleybynumbers No98 Side Rabbet Plane #aplaneaday Right handed (No99 is left) with a detachable and reversible nose piece. 4" long cast iron with a rosewood knob (that will fit the No1) the #98 is very handy for right hand side rabbet work and a lot prettier than the #79. Made between 1896 and 1942 the one on the left is type 2 1909-1921 with the "V" logo on the cutter and the patent date removed from the skate. The one on the right out of its original SW box is type 3a 1929-1935 now with depth stop.
