2007 - HelmsBriscoe celebrated its 15th anniversary at two host properties, the Hyatt Regency Houston and Hilton Americas – Houston. This was the first year the gala awards evening was opened to partner attendees, and the conference concluded with a memorable street party. #HBABC #WhyHB

2001 - HelmsBriscoe celebrates its 10th anniversary at the HB Annual Business Conference in Orlando. Chuck Bowling, President and Chief Operating Officer at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, is presented with the Visionary Award. The year ends with 350 Associates in 68 offices worldwide, and Roger Helms is named by MeetingNews as one of the “25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry.” #HBABC #WhyHB

1997 - HelmsBriscoe marked its 5th anniversary by hosting an ABC at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami with 80 Associates in attendance. A new HelmsBriscoe logo was revealed and the first Partner Fair hosted 45 hotel partners. Tom Storey, Executive Vice President Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, is presented with the company’s first Visionary Award. #HBABC #WhyHB

1998 - HelmsBriscoe opens its 48th office and announces its 140th Associate. Associates produce more than 6,500 meetings. This year also marks the only time in HB’s history that two HB Annual Business Conferences fell in one calendar year. The first one is held in January 1998 in Reno, Nevada and the second one is the first international HB Annual Business Conference, held in December 1998 in Canada. Peter Shelly, Executive Vice President, is presented with the Visionary Award. #HBABC #WhyHB

2005 - Held at the Paris Las Vegas Resort & Casino, Conference Chairman Peter Shelly makes a lively appearance impersonating Elvis. #HBABC #WhyHB

1996 - Hosted in Palm Springs, California the entire production budget affords just one cello player to perform during the opening general session. The cello player was representative of the HelmsBriscoe tag line at that time, “Let Us Orchestrate Your Meetings.” #HBABC #WhyHB

Hosted at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, guests of this year’s event were also treated to an evening at the Palm Springs Air Museum. Much to everyone’s surprise, Roger and Bill made an impressive entrance flying in on a World War II bomber. #HBABC #WhyHB
