Ralph’s parents are frustrated that their raccoon son is “well behaved” and shows no promise in carrying out the family tradition of banditry. They send him to “bandit school” to learn bad manners. At first, Ralph is out of place with his polite ways and frequent aid to others — but the book has a surprising ending. Use this book to inspire a discussion of how important it is for everyone to feel as if they belong at school and of concrete ways students can help each other feel that way.

Ralph seems like a regular raccoon, but his parents are really shocked at his good manners. How is their son ever going to learn to overcome his niceness? By going to bandit school! "School for Bandits," by Hannah Shaw
