Happy Darwin Day everyone! Today, one of the greatest marine biologists ever, Charles Darwin, would have turned 204 years old. We have a lot to thank for his observations! They were a revolution in most fields of life science. What's your favourite Darwin's observation?
Charles Robert Darwin, (12 February 1809 – 19 April 1882) was an English naturalist. He established that all species of life have descended over time from common ancestors, and proposed the scientific theory that this branching pattern of evolution resulted from a process that he called natural selection, in which the struggle for existence has a similar effect to the artificial selection involved in selective breeding.
Darwin Day is a global celebration of science and reason held on or around Feb. 12, the birthday anniversary of evolutionary biologist Charles Darwin. On this website you can find all sorts of information about Charles Darwin and the International Darwin Day Foundation.
