Martin Hill “My Sculptures are a response to the environment from which they are made and to which they return.I use natural materials gathered from the site so that when I have made my photographs they can be absorbed back into the natural cycle without harm, transformed in time by natural processes into biological nutrients from which new life will grow.”

Using sticks, leaves, stones and ice, environmental artist and photographer Martin Hill and his partner Philippa Jones have been exploring cycles of nature by creating temporary circular sculptures for over 20 years.
