YES. I like that the bishop and Fantine appear in the end SO much better than the stage epilogue. It brought the focus back around to where it should be - that this, ultimately, is Valjean's redemption story and everyone that his life has touched and that have touched his life are around him.

the bishop appearing to welcome valjean to heaven was probably one of the best decisions the filmmakers made. the entire audience around me was in tears.
