Congratulations to the KCDA Soap Box Derby Team who participated in the 4th Annual Coney Island Generation Gap (CIGG) Soap Box Derby Race held on Saturday, September 8th at Kaiser Park.  The KCDA Team competed in a race against 23 other teams whose sponsors included the NYPD, FDNY, non-profit groups and other elected officials.  Team Charles J. Hynes won 3rd place prize for Best Soap Box Car design.

The Kings County District Attorney’s Office participated in the 2013 JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge. The DA’s team, which participates in the event every year, ran the 3.5 mile race in Central Park along with thousands of other runners from companies throughout NYC. The event is organized to promote fitness in the workplace.

On June 4th, DA Hynes was an official partner for the first annual Bed-Stuy Community Youth and Cultural Fair. Over 20 organizations took part in the event providing resources to the Bedford Stuyvesant community.
