TIL that azurite was commonly used as a blue pigment in middle age and Renaissance paintings, but it oxidates at some point and turns into malachite. So the blue parts made from azurite in those paintings are now green.

You can use water dissolvable paper to create your drawings on, pin it to your interfaced fabric and free motion stitch on top. Afterwards when you wash the fabric, the paper will dissolve, and your drawing will have materialized fabric form.
