The Galleries Of Justice, Nottingham - the courtrooms date back to 1375 and the prison back to 1449. It's the only place in the country where one could be arrested, sentenced and executed. 21 hangings took place between 1738 and 1799, all near the main entrance. There, three spirits are said to linger. Also reported are temperature drops and banging noises. The most haunted section is the chapel where reports include objects being thrown. The condemned man's cell is also said to be haunted.
