Students created their snail bodies out of clay slabs, added coils for snail shells and clay spheres for snail eyes! After the clay was fired in the kiln, students added wire antennas, and splatter paint designs to their adorable clay snails.

Here you see me waxing the bottom of my pinch pots. I melt a couple of paraffin wax bars in a crock pot. You can pick up the wax in the baking department of any grocery store. I like to wax the bottom (Baking Tools Crock Pot)
