Manchester University Pharmacy students visited Flint Springs elementary school's kindergarten roundup to discuss the importance of immunizations, while students and faculty spoke to nearly 200 students throughout the day at South Side High School in Fort Wayne about diabetes awareness.

Manchester University College of Pharmacy students participated in a diabetes education and testing brown bag event at Community Care Pharmacy in Fort Wayne on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

Dr. Yu-Chieh (Jack) Chen - Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences (pharmacy administration and social sciences), Manchester University College of Pharmacy. He is responsible for developing and teaching courses in social and administrative pharmacy and serves on various academic committees.

Dr. Swati Betharia - Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences (physiology & pharmacology), Manchester University College of Pharmacy. She is responsible for developing and teaching pharmacology courses while serving on various academic committees.

Dr. Fred Farris - Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences (pharmaceutics), Manchester University College of Pharmacy. He was most recently the department chair of pharmacy practice and administration at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore College of Pharmacy. He has more than 38 years of pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical sciences teaching experience and 25 years of administrative faculty experience.

Dr. Dustin Linn - Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice (critical care), Manchester University College of Pharmacy. In addition to his core faculty responsibilities, he assumes clinical responsibilities in critical care for Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He completed two residency programs specializing in critical care at Saint Louis University Hospital prior to holding his most recent position as clinical pharmacist at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Dr. David G. Fuentes - Department Chair of Pharmacy Practice, Manchester University College of Pharmacy. Dr. Fuentes has held faculty appointments at the University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Pacific University School of Pharmacy, and most recently at Roosevelt University College of Pharmacy.
