Saw my first tree swallow today, at Mt St Francis. They are cavity dwellers like bluebirds, so they need trees with holes in them, or birdhouses to survive. Tree swallow in flight - blunt tail, light underside
Tree Swallow makes its nest in the hollow of a tree. He skims on wings that never get tired. His bill is short because his food is insects from the air. He has short legs because most of his time is spent flying.
