Do you know where the word coach originated? Kocs is a town in Northwestern Hungary, where this type of horsecart became popular in the 15th century. And a Kochis szekér or "cart from Kocs" just became "coach" as the innovative rear-wheel-drive design spread across Europe. (In modern Hungarian Kocsi has actually come to mean car!)

Kocs Coat-Of-Arms K ocs is a village in Hungary from which the word "coach" is derived, and are pronounced the same.
