Old Sprott Alabama Post Office served the community for over 100 years from 1881 until it was closed in 1993. The L.B. Sprott Merchandise was also in the country store. The front part of the building was damaged in a storm and had to be replaced.

Crossroads store at Sprott, Alabama, 1935 or 1936 - Most of the men are wearing work overalls. Love the old gas pump and mailbox attached to the building. (photograph by Walker Evans)
