Formerly a farmer, Pte Fulcher enlisted on 18 October 1916 and as a member of the 18th Reinforcements, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Demosthenes (A64) on 23 December 1916. He served on the Western Front in Belgium and died of wounds he received at Polygon Wood on 20 September 1917, aged 26. (AWM)

He  enlisted   June,    1918,  and   went   into  camp   at   Brisbane  Sailed   from  Sydney  on  the   2nd   September, 1918.   He  subsequently   arrived  in  England   in   November,   1918,   where   he   completed   his   training.   He   was   despatched   to   France   in   January,   1919.  (NLA)
