Map of Jupiter's South Pole This map of Jupiter is the most detailed global color map of the planet ever produced. A polar stereographic projection showing Jupiter's south pole in the center of the map and its equator at the edge, the map was constructed from images taken by Cassini in December 2000 as the spacecraft passed on its way to Saturn.
