Set into the pavement, outside the museum in Lyme Regis, Dorset, England, Coade stone work, in the form of ammonites, reflecting both local history (Eleanor Coade) and the palaeontology for which the town is famous. Built on the site of the home of Lyme’s renowned fossilist Mary Anning, the museum is an architectural gem. Distance from Shaftesbury to Lyme Regis is 53 miles

London Transport museum in Covent Garden has many old posters on display as well as the first buses, tubes and trains. Very interesting museum and recommended for children. Great shop. Call in to look for souvenirs.
