Groupon Eyes Warehouse Network For Goods (Wall Street Journal) Groupon is planning a network of North American warehouses for its physical goods business, pushing the company known for coupons into more direct competition with Amazon. In an interview Tuesday, CEO Eric Lefkofsky said the Chicago company is already eyeing one space in Kentucky and is considering adding more over time.
In an email to select subscribers, Groupon is offering its VIP Loyalty program in the Chicago area. At $29.95 per month, VIP members receive early access to deals, access to Groupon’s Deal Vault of closed and sold out items and deals that are no longer available to regular subscribers. Also the VIP return policy allows members anytime returns made as a member of the program in the form of Groupon Bucks.
