Artist Jean-Denis Malcles supplies the touch of enchantment here, inspired by the picture that was so effortlessly brought to the screen by director Jean Cocteau in 1946. At the time La Belle et la Bete (Beauty and the Beast) was filmed, Cocteau was known primarily as a poet and a painter.
