“Recently, I went to my children’s school and it was eye-opening for me to see the pressure that the children are under during the day. It gave me a desire to be more sensitive to their needs, especially when they arrive home from school. It’s easy to just be mostly concerned with homework and chores. I don’t want to meet them with more pressure, hardness or demands, but rather to show them compassion, warmth and goodness.” Ruth (USA) http://activechristianity.org/

“It is heavy to live life trying to please people. We only need to live before Gods face, then life becomes simple.” Kris (Canada) www.brunstad.org

“To be anxious means that Satan has a hold over me, power which limits me to his will. That is something I really want to become free of, so that I can serve God with everything I have.” Matthew (UK)

“‘What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?’ Romans 6:1-2. This verse has been a help for me today, because by believing this there can be an end to sin in my life; I no longer need to be a slave of sin.” Timothy (Australia) www.brunstad.org

“I remember one specific time when I was very busy and rushed for time; I was supposed to be here, doing this, doing that. Then I thought of the verse in Isaiah 40:31: ‘But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.’ By humbling myself I get Gods power to come into rest.” Chris (Canada)

"Anxiety had a strong hold on me for a good part of my life. I worried just about anything and everything. Anxiety caused turmoil within, depression, and constant unrest. It gave me no peace. Then I read in the Bible, 'Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.' Philippians 4:6. Be anxious for…
