New Belgium's 1554 Elightened Black Ale. As the label says, this ale has a suprisingly bright taste and a dry chocolaty finish. It is very smooth, has no bitterness and goes down easy. 5.6% ABV means I might have two. Actually, I think I will go with someting very hoppy next, but this one gets a 90.

New Glarus Apple Ale: This one tastes like apple cider more than beer, a little to sweet for me, but tasty on a fall evening.

The new Unplugged beer from New Glarus was finally delivered to Oshkosh last week on the back of a serpent promising sex, knowledge and immo.

Furthermore Brewing LLC's Fallen Apple is a Cream Ale brewed with Apple Juice. It tastes more like beer than a cider and that's good because I like beer better than cider. Not much information on the label to share, so I will get to the rating. I like it, would drink more of it as it gets warmer as it is a little lighter. I give it an 84.

Central Waters Brewing Compnay's Glacial Trail IPA. It's got blenty of bitter on the tongue as well as the after taste. No ABV on this bottle either, but I will do some digging. IPA is my favorite style of beer so I liked this beer, but I have reviewed two already that are better. I give this one a 88.

Lagunitas IPA

Lagunitas IPA

I really want to go to Petaluma in the near future. Lagunitas is making some fantastic beers.

Three Floyds Dreadnaught IPA. Once described to me as the perfect IPA. I would like to try one to be the judge of that statement. I've never been able to find it

Flying Dog Raging Bitch Belgian-Style India Pale Ale. This 8.3% ABV 60 IBU brew is bitter, but that's how I like it. Flying Dog says, "Two inflammatory words...one wild drink,. Nector imprisoned in a bottle. Let it out. It is cruel to keep a wild animal lockedup. Uncap it. Release it, stand back etc..." This 20th anniversary IPA is good. Not as good as Hopslam from Bell's, but tasty. I give it an 89.

TommyKnocker Brewery Hop Strike Black IPA. 6.5 ABV -IBU 78. Another mix of style and as a hop-head I like it. Rich coffee taste from the dark rye malt followed by a hop finish. Not bitter on the finish. For a beer at this alcohol level it's pretty drinkable. I'll go 92. Enjoying this one with a Bear Victory.

Just enjoyed a 2-year vintage 2012 Goose Island Pere Jacques from my friend Ralph. All the malt and spice you would expect from a Belgian dubbel and altogether enjoyable.
