1888 Bonnet Culture: American Medium: straw, velvet Bonnet; fancy whole straw with brown velvet trim. Narrow brown velvet band trims front edge of bonnet. Inside edge/brim of bonnet is also trimmed with brown velvet. Velvet at center front inside edge/brim is gathered. Crown lined in black fabric.

Bonnet crown interior is lined with silk satin. The interior brim is lined with vertical box pleated organdie next to three rows of gathered trim. The ties are of silk satin.
