I first stumbled upon this painting, as well as its partner when a teen. My first outing to MMOA in NYC. I think the hopeless romantic in me was taken by these works; I do not like most of the artwork from the Rococo era. I went to purchase this one as a print, but mistakingly purchased its "The Swing."
