Pat Hatch:* 19th C. early patchwork doll quilt blue calico back with nice early calico fabrics. It is hand sewn and has the best solid blue calico back. It has a number of weak squares that are shredding and half missing, so the quilt is as is but is so good looking hanging or folded in a stack it is hard to resist. Circa 1870-80
DOLL QUILT BY HATTIE AREHART Circa 1916 14” x 13” Hattie was a neighbor of my great grandmother, Anna Hoover Weaver. This quilt was saved by my aunt, Agnes Weaver Eigsti, (1910-2010) who thought that Anna, her grandmother, might have helped make it. Anna Hoover Weaver's husband's barn still says J Weaver 1889 in the roof tiles and can be seen along County Road 34 near Goshen, Indiana.
