Hail Mary Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
The Icon of the Mother of God "Deliveress" belonged to a monastery on Mount Athos. Prayer to this icon delivered the inhabitants of Sparta from locusts in 1841. The icon was later taken to a monastery in Russia. On its first celebration, a storm cast more than a ton of fish on the shore in front of the monastery. (Apr 4, Oct 17)
