The Marble Caves - the most famous of them is the “Capilla de Mármol” meaning "Marble Chapel" - are located on Lake General Carrera/Buenos Aires (depending which side of the lake you are on), Patagonia, Chile. The boat tours usually leave from Puerto Tranquillo, Río Ibáñez. The amazing vibrant blue and grey cave chambers, submerged to some extent, all lay in memorizing turquoise waters of Carrera/Buenos Aires Lake.

Marble Cave, Chile Chico, Chile – The most spectacular caves network in the world and this Marble Cathedral is absolutely magnificent. It’s located in Patagonia, Chile on the second largest freshwater lake in South America, General Carrera.

LOVE these Alexander Calder Stabiles    Students learned about famous sculptor Alexander Calder and his stabiles. We discussed the reasons Calder would place his whimsical sculptures in big cities and then students were asked to recreate their own Stabile by cutting organic shapes out and coloring them the same on all four sides. We assembled them and glued them to a base.
