Miniature mother-of-pearl sewing egg etui with gilt tools. Two m.o.p.shells open when the bird finial is depressed. Alabaster pedestal, gilt metal casing, with gilt metal tools-thimble, needle case, stiletto, bodkin and scissors. French or English, cir 1850. 4 and a half inches high./10 cms high, £750. Outer photo looks very much like my old scent bottle.
