The colour amaranthine came from the Greek word ‘amarantos’ which meant unfading. The word Amaranth was used to name an imaginary, undying flower that was, presumably, a deep red-purple colour and there you have the two uses of the word today. Lovely stuff.
I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence. I often speak your name. All I have are memories, and your picture in a frame. Your memory is my keepsake, with which I'll never part. God has you in His keeping...I have you in my heart.
People need to realize that there’s a difference between straight people and Straight People™. Just like how there are white people who are gay and then there are the White Gays™. http://imaginal.tumblr.com/post/161467356480
