Valor award for SGT (then PVT) Thomas Alexander Baker, Jr. (1916-1944) US Army. Medal of Honor (posthumously) for conspicuously gallantly and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty....in action at Saipan, Mariana Islands, 19 June to 7 July 1944. His deeds were in keeping with the highest traditions of the U.S. Army.
