L'Ordre de Bon Temps (The Order of Good Cheer) was originally a French Colonial Order founded by suggestion of Samuel de Champlain upon arrival in New France. It provided good food and good times for its members in order to improve their health and morale during the long Acadian winter. My ancestor Louis Hébert was a member.
